I recently had a fantastic stay at a hotel in Pag Island. The hotel had an ideal location, as it was just a short walk from a clean and beautiful pebbly beach. The beach was a bit crowded in August, but that didn't bother me as I enjoyed the perfect temperature of the sea. The hotel itself was situated in a quiet area, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly our waiter Robert who made our dining experience very enjoyable. The hotel rooms were cleaned regularly and had all the basic amenities we needed. I loved having a balcony where I could relax and enjoy the view. The breakfast provided several options, which was a great way to start the day.
Everything was great, no complaints at all.

The staff was friendly and helpful.
The rooms were very simple and not so attractive--for 120 euros a night, I expected more. The food in the restaurant was expensive, and of average quality. The location and the staff are the best things this hotel has to offer. The rooms and the restaurant need some work to make it a good value for the price.

The worst experience we had staying in a hotel in Croatia.
Surcharge of 4 euro for a sea view (there were only two other rooms occupied in the hotel). Food was a rip off and breakfast dreadful (worst coffee and don't ask for fruit juice unless you want to pay extra). It was quite cool in the afternnon of our stay and the room had airconditioning but no remote control to operate it. My partner, who speaks Croatian, had to have two separate conversations with the owner and then her husband before we were reluctantly given the remote. We were told to 'put on more clothes, there is doona in cupboard'. This place should be called Hotel Miser.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, just a stone's throw away from the sea and a beautiful beach. The water is wonderfully clean and the temperature is perfect for swimming. The rooms are well-equipped with all the facilities you could need. We had a room with a balcony, which was a great addition. The breakfast offered several options and was a good start to the day.
All was fine.

Good parking
No grace, no taste, no humour, no smiles. Staff constantly bickering. Breakfast inedible.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly during our stay at the hotel. They helped us out of a lot of trouble encountered on our holiday. We owe the smoothness of our stay to the friendly hotel staff. The service was excellent, and I didn't feel I couldn't ask for anything, they provide excellent accomodation.
Although the location is convenient to a family style holiday. If you are young and want to be around the party scene of Zrche beach, then stay somewhere closer to the beach!!! like Novalja. Hotel Biser is approx 15km from Zrche. We hired a car for 2800 kuni for 3 days, between 4 people it was cheaper than buying a taxi for all the trips to Zrche and other parts of the island. If you are staying at hotel Biser, the city of Pag has excellent nightlife as well, and is also a lot cheaper than Zrche.....The croatian women are stunning as well, so there's no shortage in Pag nightclubs. Hotel Biser is an affordable, last minute alternative if you miss out on accomodation in Novalja.

Where do I start…? We arrived at the Hotel Biser at 10pm only to be greeted by what I can describe as the rudest man I have ever met. If you don’t speak German” then you have to make your do with trying to get any information yourself. His appearance is strangely familiar to ‘Friztel’ and along with the welcome I could definitely imagine waking up under the hotel!!! We arrived onto Pag island all excited and looking forward to a few days on this beautiful island and politely said we had a reservation under our name only to have the owner shrug his shoulders that he could not understand the word reservation. Thankfully there was 3 German lads also checking in and who told me he couldn’t understand the word ‘reservation’. Now I ask you, what owners don’t understand that word that is in charge of a hotel? He will not speak to you unless you are German, seriously!! His wife is also as ignorant as the owner. She does not speak to you just gives you the most disgusting looks like as if we are there for free and were doing her a favour. The owner had our name on an a3 (faulty towers style) piece of paper and I had to find my name on the list as he would not. When we went down for breakfast they don’t do hot water, don’t do toast and asked for a hard boiled egg only to get something that looked like the egg didn’t go to full term if you get my drift. I enquired about the safe in the room and was shown how to use it but couldn’t change the code and had to use the code the owner gave me. This was very uncomfortable but asked the receptionist and she also told me that she didn’t know anything about the safe in the room. The most awful hotel I have in my life ever been to and if you want to enjoy your holiday I would stay well clear of this place. I hated every minute of it and was gone from early morning as breakfast on one day was enough to put us off it for the remaining two.

It was right next to the beach.
One member of staff made sexual passes at my friend and I. They were rude, verry aggressive. Wouldnt recommend hotels to young girls.

The beach was just a few steps away from the hotel, which was really convenient. the staff was quite helpful and friendly, they answered all our questions. the terrace was really nice to relax after a day in the sun.
The hotel needs some renovation, it looks old-fashioned and the rooms are not in the best condition. the breakfast was really poor, there were not many options and the quality was not the best.

Stayed here over Easter and had a great time. The hotel is located close to the beach, which was a major plus for us. The breakfast was good and had a variety of options to choose from. We loved the fact that there was a terrace where we could relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. , the staff was friendly and helpful.
The room we stayed in could use some updating as it seemed a bit old-fashioned. Another minor downside was the distance from the city, which required a bit of a walk to get there.
